"The runs get me up and out and in my body and connect me to people that I later see on the dance floor, at the beach, or at one of the tents. It has become an essential part of LEAF for me. - Joan, Mass

If you are a LEAFer who has yet to experience this aspect of the festival, make sure you stop by to see us next time! You'll find even more to love about your favorite festival! ------ Namaste ~ Jess (Healing Arts Director)

Healing Arts, Ancient Arts, & Earthskills

"The wonderful, sensual, spirited, peaceful, gathering of souls...LEAF" -Greenville, SC

At LEAF..."Often, people experience something they've never experienced before - something they've overlooked - and it opens up a whole new world for them". - Mountain Express

    STEP INTO LEAF HEALING ARTS....

The Healing Arts at LEAF create a grounding and centering force for the festival and all who attend. Our area, slightly hidden by the trees and perched above the main grounds, is a welcoming sacred space. It remains a calm haven to escape and reconnect with yourself and the fabulous community that makes up LEAF. The Earth Tent is a place to experience incredible movement workshops and classes that enliven your body, mind, and spirit. The Sky Tent is a space for more close-knit gatherings, and hosts several enlightening discussions, enriching workshops, and meditations. Both feature truly remarkable presenters and teachers with a wealth of knowledge and wisdom...There is always something new to learn and experience!

The Ancient Earthskills area is yet another wonderful aspect of Healing Arts. Learn primitive survival skills and handcrafts such as bamboo cupmaking and friction fire-making. Other workshops include medicinal-mead making, shamanic journies, and embark on wild plant walks to learn how to identify local herbs for food and medicinal purposes.

(All workshops and classes in the main Healing Arts area are, of course, free of charge. Some of the Ancient Earthskills workshops have limited capacities and material fees, so make sure to check the schedule for fees that may apply and come to the area with plenty of time before a workshop begins.)

There are also more than a dozen professional Healing Artist set up in booths and tents bordering the main festival grounds that offer services such as various types of massage and bodywork, chiropractic adjustments, and astrological readings for a fee. Yet another aspect of LEAF to help make your vacation weekend a time of renewal and rejuvenation.
