LEAF 2 Go Creativity Week Insight

Over the last ten years at Leaf, we’ve listened to banjos out over an Appalachian sky, warmed our hands over countless fires, shared camp coffee with tribes of small slowly waking families, and danced with so many beautiful strangers our bodies hold the imprints of each neighbor we happily swung. How many parents and children have we witnessed glimpse new sides of each other through the wild magic of festival experience, their relationship instantly deepened?  How many wives with painted faces?  How many husbands out adventuring for flint or live music?  How many spontaneous eruptions of old time songs amongst strangers, acts of profound giving, and how many sights of almost unendurable beauty?  We don't know. Yet, at some point we decided to stop counting and to start asking.  Why is the magic so alive here?  Why does coffee taste better when it’s made over an open fire?  And how do help our everyday lives be illuminated by our festival life?  It is in honor of every woman who offered us a dry towel, for every man who gave us his last match, for every child who tried their first high dive or lit their first real fire at a festival, that we've designed LEAF2Go Creativity Week, a deep-festival and full body appreciative inquiry into what it means to be Alive today and how we can carry the Leaf experience beyond the festival into our personal lives and the lives of our communities.
Leaf To-Go is a week of deep-festival experience, a full body inquiry into what it means to be Alive and Responsive today, in the forever dance between fill-ups at the Well and the work we do to keep kids in shoes.

Appreciative Inquiry

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a method for discovering, understanding and fostering innovations in organizations (individuals) through the gathering of positive stories and images and the construction of positive interactions. AI seeks out the very best of "what is" to help ignite the collective imagination of "what could be". The aim is to generate new knowledge, which expands the “realm of the possible”, and helps members of an organization  (individuals) envision a collectively desired future and to carry forth that vision in ways which successfully translates images of possibility into reality and beliefs into practice. www.AppreciativeInquiry.com
